Huang Kui will represent a new series of art work he create during 2009-2010 in the exhibition, he tries to use different creation techniques such as painting, photography, light box, installation, video to philosophize the theme: If each self is an absolute existence, then after a specific time of any re-self-observation, self does not always exist. This seemingly esoteric topic perhaps will become clearly visible in this show! Fragmented, partial, illusion, and juxtaposition will be the approaches of the artist’s creation.

Huang Kui, Born in Renshou, Sichuan Province in 1977, graduated from Sichuan Fine Art College, Oil Painting Department, living and working in Shanghai right now.
